thenevercompany.ai Inc. ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. Juno is designed with privacy as a core principle—your in-app data stays on your device, and AI processing happens locally using open-source models.

This Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored and shared, and your rights regarding that information. It covers both the Juno desktop application and our website at junoapp.com.

Your Data in the Juno Application

The Juno desktop application does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following on remote servers:

  • Your notes, tasks, content you create, or data synced from your online accounts
  • Your browsing history or bookmarks
  • Your AI conversations or prompts
  • Usage analytics or telemetry

All your in-app data—including notes, tasks, browsing data, and AI conversations—is stored locally on your device. You have full control over this data, and it never leaves your computer unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.

Your Data on Our Website

When you sign up for our waitlist or provide your email address through our website, we collect:

  • Email address: The email address you provide when joining our waitlist
  • Timestamp: The date and time of your signup
  • Source: Where the signup originated (e.g., our website)

How we use this data: We use your email address solely to send you updates about Juno's development progress and launch availability. We will not use your email for any other purpose, including advertising, marketing of third-party products, or selling to data brokers.

How this data is stored: Waitlist signups are processed through Google Apps Script and stored in Google Sheets, which is hosted on Google's servers. A notification email is sent to our team via Google's email services when a new signup is received. This data is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.

Data sharing: We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties, advertising platforms, or data brokers. Your email is only accessible to our team and is stored within Google's infrastructure as described above.

Local AI Processing

Juno uses open-source AI models (such as those running on MLX or Ollama) that operate entirely on your device. Your prompts, conversations, and AI-generated responses are processed locally and are never sent to external servers.

Third-Party Services

Built-in Browser: When you use Juno's built-in browser to access websites, those websites may collect data according to their own privacy policies. Juno does not control or have access to data collected by third-party websites.

AI Models: The open-source AI models used by Juno are downloaded to your device. These models are subject to their respective licenses (e.g., Google Gemma Terms of Use). The models themselves do not transmit data externally.

Google Account Integration: Juno allows you to connect your Google account to access Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Tasks, and Docs within the application. When you connect your Google account, data from these services is synced and stored locally on your device. Juno accesses your Google data solely to provide and improve the in-app features you use. We do not transfer your Google data to third parties, advertising platforms, or data brokers. We do not use your Google data for advertising, retargeting, or any purpose other than providing Juno's functionality to you. Juno's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

WhatsApp Integration: Juno allows you to connect your WhatsApp account to view and manage messages within the application. WhatsApp data is synced and stored locally on your device. Juno does not transmit your WhatsApp data to any external servers or third parties.

Google Services (Website): Our website uses Google Apps Script and Google Sheets to process and store waitlist signups. These services are provided by Google LLC and are subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Google's Terms of Service. We use these services solely to store your email address and send our team a signup notification. We do not use this data for advertising, retargeting, or any purpose beyond communicating Juno launch updates to you.

Software Updates

Juno may periodically check for software updates. This process only involves checking version information and does not transmit any personal data or usage information.

Payment Processing

If you purchase a Juno license, payment processing is handled by Stripe and license key generation is handled by Keygen. We do not store your payment information. Please refer to Stripe's Privacy Policy and Keygen's Privacy Policy for information about how they handle your data.

Your Rights

In-app data: Because your in-app data is stored locally, you have complete control:

  • Access: All your data is on your device and accessible to you
  • Deletion: You can delete your data at any time by removing Juno or its data files
  • Portability: Your data is stored in standard formats that you can export

Waitlist data: If you signed up for our waitlist, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Deletion: Request removal of your email address from our waitlist at any time by emailing us at info@thenevercompany.ai
  • Opt out: Unsubscribe from communications at any time by replying to any email we send or by contacting us directly

Data Security

We take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect the data we collect. Waitlist signups are transmitted securely over HTTPS. Data stored in Google Sheets is protected by Google's security infrastructure. Access to waitlist data is restricted to authorized members of our team.

Data Retention

We retain waitlist email addresses until Juno is publicly launched and all launch communications have been sent, or until you request removal—whichever comes first. After that, waitlist data will be deleted.

Children's Privacy

Our website and waitlist are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If we make material changes to how we handle your data, we will notify affected users before the changes take effect.
